Membership to Main Street Concord

As a member of Main Street Concord, you’ll receive newsletters and e-newsletters, business promotion opportunities, invitations to special events, discounts on Market Days & Summer Music Festival. Here’s what else you’ll get for your money:

This summer will mark the seventh anniversary of Main Street Concord, Inc.  We have accomplished quite a lot in the past six years, and we have exciting plans for 2008.  We will develop and implement an urban landscaping plan, work with the City of Concord to control newsrack, sandwich board and other street clutter, and raise funds to have the arch at Eagle Square painted.  We are fine-tuning Market Days & Summer Music Festival and have developed a brand new month-long event called Everybody Loves Downtown.  We will continue our popular downtown Façade Improvement Grant Program and will further promote upper-story, market rate housing.

We have improved parking in downtown Concord by petitioning the City to offer 2-hour parking at meters and free parking during the 2 weeks prior to Christmas.  We are now working to provide on-street, overnight parking in the downtown and Concord’s urban core.

We continue to sell Downtown Dollars gift certificates. During the 2007-2008 holiday season alone, over $16,000 of Downtown Dollars were sold and will be redeemed in downtown Concord.  Downtown Dollars are accepted at approximately 60 downtown businesses, including certain retail stores, restaurants, hair salons, theaters and more, Downtown Dollars are ideal gifts and can be purchased at Merrimack County Savings Bank, Capital Craftsman and Romance Jewelers, The Capitol Center for the Arts and Concord Camera Store.
