Volunteer Opportunities
Main Street Concord is looking to further its mission by recruiting volunteers from the community. Volunteerism is a wonderful opportunity to play a part in the revitalization of downtown Concord and to bring additional life to our thriving community. Come, be a part of your city and get involved by volunteering for Main Street Concord.
Join one of the following committees!
Design means getting Main Street Concord into top physical shape. Capitalizing on its best assets – such as historic buildings and traditional downtown streetscape – is just a part of the story. An inviting atmosphere created through window displays, parking areas, signs, sidewalks, streetlights and landscaping conveys a visual message about what Main Street is and what it has to offer.
Economic Development means helping existing downtown businesses stay in business, helping businesses to expand and recruiting new ones to respond to today’s market.
Organization means getting everyone working toward the same goal. The tough work of building consensus and cooperation among the groups that have an important stake in the district can be eased by using the common-sense formula of a volunteer-driven program and an organizational structure of board and committees.
Promotion means marketing the downtown’s unique characteristics to shoppers, investors, visitors and Concord residents. An effective promotion strategy forges a positive image through advertising, retail promotional activity, special events and marketing campaigns.
