Street Closings |
Main Street Concord regularly notifies all downtown constituents whose email addresses we have about upcoming street closing and parking bans.
We'll let you know about closings for events like Concord Hospital's Rock 'n Race and our own events— including Market Days and Halloween Howl.

Across the nation there is a resurgence of interest in downtown living among many eager to be mere blocks from fine shopping, dining and cultural destinations; to live in beautiful historic buildings redeveloped with modern day conveniences; and to enjoy the ease, cost savings and environmental benefits that come with accomplishing errands or commuting by foot, bike or public transit.
To respond to this need, Main Street Concord has developed a multi-faceted strategic plan to encourage upper story market rate housing projects in downtown which includes the Upstairs, Downtown Walking Tour.
Back for a third year, the tour spotlights outstanding upper story redevelopment projects and highlights the immense potential that awaits our community.
Things to know about this tour:
- While we certainly wish they were, not every building is equipped with an elevator, please keep this in mind when purchasing tickets.
- The tour departs promptly at 5:30pm from the Red River Theatres marquee.
- Convenient and FREE parking is available at the Capital Commons Garage.
- Tour is rain or shine- sorry no refunds will be available.
- Bring your walking shoes!
