The results of Main Street Concord's Facade Improvement Grant Program are astonishing. More than twenty five 50/50 matching facade improvement grants totaling more than $75,000 have been awarded to downtown business and building owners to improve the appearance of their buildings. Ragged, dirty awnings were replaced, new outdoor lighting installed, bricks repointed and cleaned, and entire storefronts rehabilitated and replaced.
In fact, several building owners not only provided the required 50% grant match, but spent tens of thousands more on their building facades.
The City of Concord, Michael Simchik of Capital Commons, LLC and Lincoln Financial Group are ardent supporters of our facade improvement fund pool.
