Frequently Asked Questions

What is Intown Concord?
Intown Concord is a non-profit corporation whose mission is to promote and enhance the business environment, cultural activities, housing and appearance of historic downtown Concord.

How is "downtown Concord" defined?
Intown Concord has expanded the geographic definition of "Downtown Concord".  In a move to be more inclusive, we now incorporate the Kimball Jenkins Estate, the Concord City Auditorium, the Common Man Restaurant, and other downtown constituents in the district.

How does Intown Concord work?
In 2001, community members, led by a local board of directors, organized into Main Street Concord under the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Main Street Program.  In late 2011, the decision was made to adopt a new organizational structure that better suited our community, volunteers, supporters, and staff. This change in structure necessitated a move away from the National Main Street Program, and a name change (from Main Street Concord to Intown Concord).

How is Intown Concord funded?
Intown Concord is funded entirely by contributions, grants, memberships and sponsorships. Give us a call at 603.226.2150 to find out how YOU can make a difference!

How can I become involved in Intown Concord?
Become a member of Intown Concord and volunteer to help with a project or program that interests you. For more information, or to volunteer, call 226.2150 or e-mail info@intownconcord.org

When is Old Fashioned Bargain Days in downtown Concord?
Old Fashioned Bargain Days is the former name of Intown Concord's Market Days Festival. This year's Market Days Festival will be July 19-21, 2012.
