Through the looking glass...
Vacant Storefront Display Initiative
Adding to the vibrancy of the City's core, Main Street Concord and downtown property owners are dressing-up vacant storefront windows.
Area artists, nonprofits and local business are invited to join in by creating temporary window displays to be featured on a rotating basis in select Main Street storefronts.
Would you or someone you know benefit from this uniquely advantageous and no-cost marketing opportunity?

Streetscape Improvement Plan

Main Street Concord's Design Committee developed a Streetscape Improvement Plan to give the City of Concord both short-term and long-term recommendations for improving the tired downtown streetscape. The project area is Centre Street to Kelly Square (McDonalds).
A few of the Plan's recommendations are:
- Improve pedestrian walk-ways between Storrs and N. Main Street.
- Provide sidewalk improvements and streetscape enhancements to Dubois Ave.
- Provide directional, street name, pedestrian orientation and welcome signs to various downtown locations.
- Change Main Street lane configuration from four lanes to three lanes between Park Street and Perley Street.
- Provide well-defined and enhanced crosswalks with brick pavers and granite edging.
